"Ballard 21st Century" NetNewsWire Theme
Alex Knight I’ve been using NetNewsWire 3 again, ever since the Black Pixel folks started releasing maintenance updates for it. I really love Silvio Rizzi’s Reeder app, but I’m kind of torn. I really love the ability to change fonts in my RSS Reader, and as far as I’m aware, you can’t do that in his app.
Since NetNewsWire allows user stylesheets, I decided to make a small modification to Pat Dryburgh’s version of Brent Simmon’s original “Ballard” NetNewsWire theme.
The only changes I made were upping the font size to 18px and using justification, with proper hyphenation of course.
This is a NetNewsWire 3 theme, so if you’re still using that as your RSS reader, you can download my version and give it a go. By the way, I gave this a new name and called it “Ballard 21st Century,” however I did add some comments in the stylesheet crediting Brent and Pat.
Download: “Ballard 21st Century” for NetNewsWire 3.

Thank you to reader Ben K. for pointing out that you can in fact change the default font in Reeder. Just go to Preferences > Reading > Article font to change it. I have mine set to Palatino at 18px.
